Sierra Gold Corporation Reports Higher Hard Rock Gold Values From Most Recent Assay Results

Sierra Gold Corporation (Other OTC:SGCP.PK - News) has just received assay results from its hard rock gold samples deposited with SGS Laboratories in July, 2007 from the most recent geological work done in Sierra Leone. Gold grades were over one ounce per ton (32 grams/ton). The samples collected were taken from a hard rock formation that showed visible gold. These gold grades are over double than those reported from samples tested from the same area in April, 2007.

Sierra Gold's geological team will continue to investigate and further explore the hard rock formation. A trenching program has already been initiated to determine the strike length of the area. The company also plans to do more extensive surface sampling as well as a drilling program.

Sierra Gold is engaged in the exploration and development of gold and diamond properties in West Africa. The greenstone belt of West Africa has had a long history of gold mining and prospecting. The region has been one of the fastest gold producing areas world wide. Sierra Leone's neighbours, Ghana and Mali, are the second and third largest gold producers in all of Africa.
