Rumour of the day West African Diamonds, the mining group run by Irish entrepreneur John Teeling, fell ¼p to 24¼p in spite of talk that it will reveal a significant reserves upgrade at its kimberlite project in Sierra Leone. The prospect, in the Koidu region of the country, is alongside sites run by the Israeli diamond billionaire Benny Steinmetz.
