Voting APC is a mistake in Sierra Leone says JJ Blood

The National Secretary General of the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP), Mr. Jacob Jusu Saffa (aka JJ Blood) has intimated that it would be a grave mistake by Sierra Leoneans if they decide to vote in the opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) party to power in the July elections because according to him, "the APC has proved to be the worse political entity in the history of Sierra Leone".

He made these remarks last Saturday, 6th January 2007 at the Wilberforce Primary School on the occasion of the launching of the Neighborhood Support Movement for Berewa, an organization formed in the Wilberforce community. According to Mr. Saffa, the only political entity with an alternative to Sierra Leone's continued socio-economic development is the SLPP with Vice President Solomon Berewa as the President. He therefore categorically endeared the people of the Wilberforce community "not to vote the APC to power" adding that if they do, "you would be mortgaging the destiny of this your beloved country by putting it in the hands of spoilers", he said. The SLPP Scribe went on to advised the youth of the community to think wisely as to whom to vote for by giving deep thoughts over what their present status is in the country, as compared to what it was in the days of the APC. "The SLPP has restored your dignity and respect and would continue to do so when you vote the party and its Presidential Candidate in solidly.

By that you would have placed yourselves on the right side of history", he said. He assured the youth of the country that Vice President Berewa as President "has definitive plan to place the youth of this country on a sound footing to an extent of giving them responsibilities not only in the governance of the state by in all spheres of decision making across the country", Mr. Saffa said, adding, "He will surely make your dreams come true". Mr. Saffa therefore admonished the youth to refrain from violence and misuse by ill-motivated politicians and to put the interest of their party the SLPP and Sierra Leone above all other political considerations.
