Global Witness and Amnesty International USA campaign against conflict diamonds

Global Witness the organization that campaigns against the exploitation of natural resources and human rights abuses along with Amnesty International USA, have renewed their efforts to highlight the connection that exists between wars in Africa and the diamond trade. This is reflected in the upcoming release of Hollywood blockbuster movie "Blood Diamond" with Leonardo Di Caprio and Jennifer Connolly.

Global Witness is also sponsoring an exhibition of Kadir von Lohuizen's photography series of the diamond industry at the Honduras Street Gallery that will last through January the 27th 2007.
