FIRST GEMS RECOVERED FROM SIERRA LEONE PROJECT Aim-quoted and ASX-listed diamond mining group Petra Diamond said on Monday that its joint-venture project with Mano River Resources, in Sierra Leone, the Kono project, had recovered its first diamonds in June. CEO Adonis Pouroulis said in a media statement that the dense-media separation (DMS) plant was commissioned in June and that the first diamonds were recovered towards the end of the month. (read more)
