Mano River Resources says Diamond grades from Kono Project very encouraging

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Mano River Resources Inc said it has achieved very "encouraging results" from the test shafts on Kono Kimberlite Dyke Diamond Project in Sierra Leone, adding it has a high likelihood of developing into economic production operation.

The mining company with focus in West Africa said the test results have achieved in-situ grades between 50 and 80 carats per hundred tonnes.

The Kono project is a joint venture between Stellar Diamonds Ltd and Petra Diamonds Ltd, Mano River said adding it holds a 68.5 pct stake in Stellar.
