TiGO Sierra Leone takes Internet to the Provinces

One of Sierra Leone’s leading mobile telecommunications network, TiGO has now made it possible for their customers to access the Internet all over Sierra Leone as long as that area of the country has TiGO coverage. This was disclosed by Mr. Choe Miller, TiGO’s Marketing Manager.

Dilating on some of the services provided by TiGO, Mr. Miller said the company provides GPRS, which enables customers to access internet service via their mobile phones at any time of their convenience.

The cost of browsing is very minimal at only Le3 per kilobyte and Le3,000 per megabyte respectively. The capacity of this facility he says, has been increased and can be browsed from anywhere in the country. TiGO he also mentioned, is offering bonus credits with down loading facility every weekend to the first 150 customers who log on to TiGO’s Internet server. "Even if the customer is in Pujehun or Moyamba, they can get free time for Internet browsing and check their emails or visit the BBC website with their telephones." Miller enthused.

TiGO, Mr. Miller maintained, offers a wide range of other facilities including: ringing-back tone, for which interested customers are requested to register for a fee of only Le1,000 and an additional fee of Le 6,000 to down load a song of choice for use as a ringing tone.

He also disclosed that TiGO has introduced ‘the Trivial Promotion’ which requires TiGO customers to answer short simple questions through text message to win free credits.

Miller used the opportunity of the chat with this medium to express thanks to their numerous customers which he said was increasing in numbers daily.
