Energem's Feb. Production +13K Cts.

RAPAPORT... The month of February 2007 was a solid production period for Energem Resources' Sierra Leone Koidu diamond mine, according to the junior miner from Canada. The company, which owns 40 percent of he Koidu Kimberlite Project, informed investors on March 5, 2007, that production hit 13,031 carats of gem-quality rough. (Total production was 17,440cts., which included industrial quality diamonds.)

Energem reported it recovered 16 special sized stones of more than 10.8 carats, the largest of which came in at 40.28 carats. During February 2006 the company reported more than 6,100 carats were produced for sale, and there were six special sized rough diamonds with the largest being almost 29 carats.

The company has not yet announced sales figures for recent recoveries.

Energem owns projects in the energy and mining sectors across 16 countries in Africa. Ventures encompass diamond mining and mineral exploration, middle and up-stream oil and gas projects, energy and mining related manufacturing, trading and trade finance businesses.
