President Kabbah's 75th birthday celebration

The President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Alhaji Dr. Ahmad Tejan Kabbah has celebrated yet another birthday. February 16 was the birth date. As this is his last birthday to be celebrated as Head of State and particularly because it was his 75th birthday, an important birthday in anybody's life, the women of Sierra Leone decided to give a very special and befitting birthday treat. The celebrations started on Friday February 16 2007 with a Muslim thanksgiving prayer at the Presidential Lodge, Hill Station forecourt which attracted over 200 worshippers. On Saturday 17th February a birthday lunch organized by women of Sierra Leone was hosted at the State House garden. With a seemingly deceptive facial impression for a man of 75 years of age, President Kabbah bounced elegantly to a red carpet reception with a galaxy of women of substance flanked on both sides of the red carpet as he was escorted to his seat.
