Aid for child soldiers in Sierra Leone

The Foreign Ministry of Iceland decided to support a Red Cross project in Sierra Leone by ISK 10 million (EUR 113,000, USD 148,000) this week, partially aimed at giving child soldiers a chance for a normal life. The contribution will be used for the construction of rehabilitation shelters, where children and young adults who were traumatized by the civil war are cared for, as Fr├ęttabladid reports. At the shelter, the child soldiers will be provided with education and psychological treatments.
